ADRIFT
Enter the void sweet self, my pretty one
Get swept away
Enter the maze my blameless
My consciousness and identity
Why my life circles around you?
How come I wonder what would be like being you?
Weblike ancient ruins on a steap seaside hill
Caves of dark oblivion brimming with a cold breeze
Take a good look in your reflection in the puddle
Have you forgotten what we are made of?
Did you never know?
It's mud
I was hurting myself with the blades of thought
Or was it the other way around?
I can't seem to recall
Who am I from above?
Pain is doubt
Joy is confidence
Punishment
And reward
Have they announced it yet?
Have you heard?
Who from us young Athenians will be sacrificed to the minotaur
Into the maze and then offered to certain death
We will be blown to discord, my sweet one
Less has never before been more more
Broken I was approached
I need it, I need you
Without mirrors
Would we exist at all?
Without you
Would I be sitting here alone?
Bound with matter
Is my soul brave enough?
Brave is the seabird
Diving in waters infested with sharks
The bliss of no desire
How dare you take that away from me? My sweet one
Wings of wax
Intoxicating promises, elusive rewards
I am compelled by shadows made of trembling fire
What does the mind perceives in itself and of?
Far in the open sea
Reason feels more like a dream
Adrift
I was approached by a creature unfamilliar to me
Adrift
Yet all I want to be is there, beside you, by the sea
